Die einzige Berechtigung für Windows war für mich die Annahme, dass meine Steam Games niemals auf Linux laufen. Falsch gedacht! Alle laufen problemlos – Setup inkl. Games in <2h erledigt. bluewitchIch hab über Weihnachten verhältnismäßig lange Urlaub gehabt und Überstunden abgebaut. Ich war zwar unterwegs, aber unterwegs hab ich n Netbook mit <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/linux" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Linux</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/mint" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mint</a> / <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/nobara" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Nobara</a>, was ich halt gerad vorziehe. 😅 Daheim hab ich vor allem gezockt, auf meinem Nobara Desktop. Bis die GraKa starb und ich den 10 Jahre alten Notfallrechner ausm Keller holte, auf dem ein seit 6 Monaten nicht geupdatetes Mint lag. Eingeschaltet, 10 min Updates, läuft. So. Und nu musste ich letzte Woche zurück zur Arbeit, wo ich einen <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/windows" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Windows</a> Rechner hab. Der natürlich n Monat aus war und erstmal Updates installieren musste, bevor ich mich am SSO anmelden konnte. Damit war 3/4 des ersten Tages weg. Und dann kam er an und wollte mir Win11 aufzwingen, für das er erstmal 40 GB (!!!) runterladen muss. 😳 Ich hör auf über Linux zu jammern, versprochen! 🫣 Linux is toll und ich will nicht wieder weg. Für mich war 2024 schon das Jahr des <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/linuxonthedesktop" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LinuxOnTheDesktop</a> 😁

StefanSwitching from Windows10 to Linux Mint made me think about Gaming and how the overall Experience would be different or much worse, wasn't defentliy not the case, quite the opposite! 😅 😉 Gaming on Linux Mint just works for me so far, hardly any Problems with Drivers or weird graphical Glitches in Games. StefanI have a feeling it's finally time for me to cut dual boot from my PC and going forward only with Linux alone to use for gaming and work in the future.
