Solo will be compatible with the official @pixelfed app, and eventually I plan to make a new Solo mobile app!

Solo will be super easy to install, and supported on most Wordpress/PHP compatible hosting providers.

You will be able to use sqlite or mysql databases, and the setup process is handled in a web browser.

Solo will be the easiest fediverse software to install of all time

What is a belay?

Belaying is a process used in solo climbing that typically uses a rope system to protect a climber in the event of a fall.

The process of belaying involves equipment unique to its function and varies based on which belay technique is being used.

Belay acts as a federation relay and can be hosted on a separate server to handle the bursty and sometimes overwhelming fediverse traffic

Solo will autoconfigure and handle federation itself, Belay simply provides a more scalable and performant federation service.

Sup, Solo and PubKit are coming along nicely, but for now I am focused on the @pixelfed app release on the App Store, Play Store and F-Droid.

Da ich in der @die_spinnwebe den Film #solo a Star Wars Story für einen Euro erwerben konnte, habe ich ihn nun gesehen und fand ihn gut als Film. Damit ihr das auch wisst. Raumpatrouille Orion konnte ich an dem Tag ebenfalls erwerben und werde ihn dem Nachwuchs vorführen. Bin gespannt auf die Reaktionen

These projects are still being actively developed, and I'll have more details to share later this month

For now I'm focusing on backend bug fixes / performance and submitting the iOS app to the App Store

One more thing, there are dozens of WIP features like Groups that will also be rolling out in the coming weeks!

It will be worth the wait
